Wonderful Indonesia: Organic delights in Ubud
Ubud being the cultural capital has a plethora of fine-dining restaurants but diners who have a penchant to get a taste of Indonesian organic food delights will be pleasantly surprised. One can just walk down to Sari Organic in Subak Sok Wayah, around 20 minutes away in down town Ubud that has some of the best food outlets.
Strolling down the countryside of Ubud amidst lush paddy fields, there are a fair number of food joints. We chose to drop in at Sari Organic that serves exclusive organic food that is healthy and nutritious as well. If one takes a look at the Balinese organic cuisine served here, it also has a rustic feel. These food joints boast of artistic décor and mostly the expats throng here. To start with, vegans can settle for mushroom soup, nasih putih (Indonesian steamed rice) along with green vegetables, corn pakodas and soyabean curry and to round off your meal, try some sweet dish made of soyabean.
