For the well-bred
aristocratic class of travellers intending to immerse themselves in the world
of luxury and are planning a trip to the seaside destination of Langkawi,
there’s nothing like Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa that has been renamed as Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa. Nestling on the
shores of Cenang Beach that is better known as Pantai Cenang lying in Kedah,
the five-star property has a good hold on luxury-seekers. Spread
over 35 acres of land area, Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa was once from the house
of Singapore-based Meritus Hotels and Resorts that has the distinction of being one of the premier luxury haunts in the
island getaway of Langkawi and opened its doors way back in 1989. Mandarin
Orchard Singapore has been the flagship of Meritus Hotels and in today’s age,
Meritus has successfully evolved as a renowned Asian hospitality brand. The
luxury property overlooking the Straits of Malacca is at a proximal distance of
4.9 km from Langkawi International Airport.

I am quite familiar
with Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi during my sporadic visits
to Malaysia. In recent times, I had an opportunity for luxury staycation at Pelangi Beach Resort for a couple of days and it took my breath away for its heart-warming hospitality
and splendid views. One gets to experience the magic of sun, sea and sand in
the tropical landscape of Langkawi.
The charm of Cenang Beach
The
luxury group is best defined as a traditional Malay rustic hotel,
well-furnished with 355 spacious rooms of which there are a cluster of 122
beach front wooden chalets with balconies.

There are pool type chalets with two
impressive swimming polls, 10 banquets and two restaurants called Spice Market
and Cba that is boast-worthy with alfresco dining facilities on Cenang beach.
Cba has live musical band for guests.

There
is Pelangi spa offering Malaysian therapies that would invigorate your body and
mind. The property has wheel chair accessibilities for visitors with special
needs.
I stayed in one of
those beach front chalets and was taken aback with the oceanfront views and the
white sandy beach.

Viewing the sunrise and sunset in the midst of swaying palm
trees came as a bonus. There are a
plethora of activities for kids.
The tranquil beauty of Cenang Beach
The hotel provides a lot of outdoor games like
squash, tennis, archery, mini golf and bicycle rentals. One can watch tourists
engage in water sports on Cenang beach. Lastly, one should not forget to miss
the plush Meritus Club designed for the well-heeled class of guests offering
yummy treats.
